Make it easy for the right clients to find - and contact - you.

Most businesses don’t have a visibility problem. They have a capture problem.

People visit the website. They click around. They’re interested.

Then they leave without taking action.

This lesson helps you set up a simple, clean lead capture system so interested people know exactly how to reach you - and you don’t miss opportunities.

No complicated funnels. No tech overwhelm. Just a clear foundation.

By the end, you’ll have:

  • A clear primary contact point for inquiries

  • A simple lead form set up correctly

  • Clear calls-to-action on your site

  • A place for interested clients to go next

Once leads are coming in consistently, the rest of your system can grow around it.

Step 1: Choose Your Primary Contact Method

Every business needs one clear next step.

Choose ONE main way for people to contact you:

  • Contact form

  • Inquiry form

  • Booking link

  • Email signup

Too many options = no action.

Most service businesses should start with a simple inquiry form.

Step 2: Create a Simple Lead Form

Keep this minimal. You don’t need a long questionnaire yet.

Start with:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Business name (optional)

  • What they’re looking for

  • Message field

That’s enough to start conversations.

You can always add more later.

Step 3: Place Your Form Where People Expect It

Your form should live in obvious places:

  • Contact page

  • Website footer

  • Services page

  • Link in bio

  • CTA buttons

If someone is ready to reach out, they shouldn’t have to search.

Step 4: Add Clear Calls-to-Action

Tell people what to do next.

Examples:

  • Inquire

  • Book a call

  • Start here

  • Get in touch

  • Work with us

Avoid vague language like: “Learn more”

Clarity increases conversions.

Step 5: Connect the Form to Your Email

Make sure submissions go somewhere.

Test this by:

  • filling out the form yourself

  • confirming you receive it

  • checking spam folders

If you don’t see submissions, neither will your leads.

Step 6: Create a Simple Confirmation Message

After someone submits a form, they should see:

  • confirmation text

  • expected response time

  • next steps

Example:

“Thanks for reaching out. We’ll review your message and be in touch within 1–2 business days.”

This builds trust immediately.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Too many forms

  • Too many CTAs

  • Long questionnaires

  • No confirmation message

  • Broken email notifications

Simple and clear works best.
